Welcome to Amani South Sudan! We are a national non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating suffering and enhancing the socio-economic status of underprivileged and disadvantaged communities across South Sudan. Our integrated humanitarian services address both immediate needs and long-term development goals, building hopes, recovery, and resilience in the communities we serve.

 

Throughout our programming, we provide life-saving humanitarian services that meet urgent needs while simultaneously promoting sustainable development initiatives aimed at reducing dependency and fostering self-reliance. Our efforts are underpinned by conflict-sensitive strategies that strengthen social cohesion, and contribute to long-term peace and stability in the communities we serve.

Since its formation, the organization has transitioned to focus on comprehensive humanitarian services under the framework of the triple nexus: which integrates humanitarian action, development cooperation, and peacebuilding to create a holistic response to the challenges faced by affected populations.

 

Historical Context

 

Founded in 2018, Amani-SS was created in response to the pressing needs of vulnerable populations, particularly women and children, in conflict-affected regions of South Sudan. Recognizing the complexities of humanitarian crises and the necessity for integrated approaches, Amani-SS expanded its mission to include not just immediate relief but also long-term development and peace initiatives.
